FOD is a fundraising guild of AIDS Services Foundation OC started in 2007 by Barbara Venezia and a small group of friends. FOD was created to heighten awareness and funding of much needed ASF programs and to reach out to a broader aspect of our community. Why Dorothy? In The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy clicked her heels three times and made things happen! That's what members of the Friends of Dorothy do for ASF, they make things happen! Why Join the Dorothy’s? Dorothy membership is for everyone and at every giving level because it’s cumulative. For example, start out as a $100.00 munchkin level and in four years work your way up to A Yellow Brick Road Member by simply renewing your $100.00 gift for those years. This year alone state and federal funding for ASF has been cut by $500,000.00. One in every 5 new HIV/AIDS cases in Orange County is a man or women 50 years old and over. It's not too soon to get on the list for a Red Shoe Award for 2010!
